Did I understand correctly that all the coal being mined is being shipped to India? This is such short sighted thinking. The destruction of the Great Barrier Reef will not only mean the loss of one of the Seven Wonders of the World but will also affect many people whose livelihoods are dependent on the reef. Very interesting…thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Yes, correct! All of the low-grade coal is being shipped to India… Such crazy short-term thinking all of this. It just screams ridiculous and careless and I can’t believe it even has a chance of happening. Thanks for listening in and spread the word. We can’t let this issue get out of our sight. XXX

What a gem! Coal?! It is a source of energy that harks back to the industrial revolution of the 1800s and is now not encouraged where I live in Britain and should be discouraged everywhere in the world. I will be interested to know the outcome of this tussle. It is an energy source that is finite.
